"For over 20 years this beautiful Town of Herndon has been my home. Herndon has welcomed and embraced me, and the time has come to give back in service, so Herndon can continue to flourish and nurture the lives of incredible residents that share this wonderful town with me. I want to serve in the town council, so that I can standby and make reality, every new possibility that can make this town an even more incredible place to live in.

 

I have always believed in living a compassionate life serving others, as I have done so for the past 20 years through every means possible, including empowering hundreds of women and serving over 3,000 families and individuals in need through my charity, Express Care Inc. I have also settled many families in Herndon through my real estate company Express Realty USA.  

 

It has been my life’s passion to take care of the needs of others and improve lives, which is why I am even more committed to serve you as your Councilwoman. I am excited to join the team."

As a member of the Town Council I will:

• Be willing to learn new ways to provide exceptional governance. 

• Bringing all cultures together.

• Explore traffic calming options.

• Improve public transportation, bicycle, and pedestrian routes.

• Increase transparency and good government by expanding Community

• Leverage our history and diversity. 

• Listen to all views.

• Promote mutually beneficial downtown development.

• Protect our green areas and adding ADA Compliant sidewalks.

• Serve and mentor to promote and empower women in government and business roles.

• Set budget priorities based on resident input.

• Support freedom of information act requests.

• Support full decision transparency for public guidance.

• Support Herndon early voting center.

Recently there was a post on social media that raised an issue with my attendance at some Town Council meetings. The Poster didn’t bother to ask me why I might have been unable to attend.  If so, I would have explained my situation to him.

​

For public information, in December 2021- 2022 Spring my sister was critically ill, had to spend time in the ICU and was in rehab from her illness for several months. I was her primary caregiver.  In the 2022 town elections, I got re-elected for my second term.

Now, she is home and wheelchair bound.  From a very active person to what she is suffering, is a challenge for us to see her in this condition.  But by the prayers of the well-wishers from the community, she is recovering.

I sincerely hope that none of you and no other Councilmembers will ever have to go through the traumatic situation that I experienced.

​

Fortunately, my sister has recovered and, of course, I am once again regularly attending Council meetings.

​

I also continue to provide my time and energy to serve the community in other ways. For example, I established a vulnerable equity clinic for those who were unable to register online, in partnership with the Fairfax County health department. I was also able to get DMV to provide a satellite office for our residents at the Community Center.

I believe my service record speaks for itself, and I would greatly appreciate your vote on November 5!

2020- 2024 Accomplishments:

​​

• Supported the NO CASINO bill in Reston and Tysons Corner.

• Established Free Food distribution opportunities for those in need.

• Collaborated with the Fairfax County Health Department, Herndon Giant Pharmacy and the Town of Herndon to provide free COVID-19 vaccines by establishing a Vulnerable Equity Clinic (VEC).

• Supported the Strategic Initiatives Program to update and modernize town processes and services.

• Pushed for Traffic Calming solutions for safer neighborhoods.

• Supported and promoted more Workforce and Affordable Housing options for residents.
